Monkey Kaka enjoys the delicious fruit her father brought
Perhaps some people don’t realize that Dad Ngoc was very brave as well as relentless in his efforts to bring Kaka home and later to visit and care for her on the island. The Vietnamese people seem to be kind, friendly, and welcoming, but they live under a one-party communist government. Individuals in Vietnam may not have the same political and civil freedoms that are guaranteed in Western-style democracies where many of us followers reside. I believe it took tremendous courage for Mr. Ngoc to pursue every avenue open to him in the tightly regulated society of Vietnam. Like him, any parent would have tried to care for Kaka’s health, nutrition, and emotional state while visiting, and he posted videos because one of the few ways to protect and fight for Kaka is to publicize and try to build a strong base of support for her situation.
It is so obvious how much he loves Kaka as though she were his own child, and if anyone knows of other ways he or the rest of us might seek to find her or continue to lawfully fight for her freedom (under the strict laws of Vietnam), those who love Kaka and her family pray that these people will come forward and advise us.
